REVIEW: Etude House AC Daily Gel Lotion ~
Back in one of my previous hauls I have hauled this item but because I have a ton of moisturizers already, I didn't want to open this up back then. I had finally finished majority of my moisturizers and decided to use this. I was gifted this from my cousin as a present when she went to Hong Kong because back then I was suffering quite a lot with acne and of course she may have asked the assistants working there or read somewhere online that this was a good product, I certainly have heard a lot of hype about this product but never thought to try it out until now ~
The packaging looks like a toner and the green glass looks really cute on my vanity ^o^ ~
Some English translations and information/directions on the product, makes it more useful for international users ~
& ofc Korean descriptions and information as well ~

[Vol.] 150 ml (5.07 fl. oz)
This moisturizer is meant to be targeted for those who have acne or blemishes on your skin, more recommend for those with oily/combination skin, since it DOES CONTAIN ALCOHOL AND SALICYLIC ACID and those with dry skin may experience it to dry out your skin even further which we all know isn't good at all ~
The packaging is quite
cute, it looks quite medical lol, that's probably because of the green
colour but anyhow apart from that I don't really like the packaging...
this product has no pump O___O SAY WHAT!? so we have to pour out the
product which is quite difficult especially when you first use it for
the first few times and then once thats done you pour out too much that
is needed for your skin :|
The manufactured date should be at the bottom ~ the reason why mine is produced in 2012 is because I have had this for quite a long time now ~
On a good note though this does come in 150ml which is plenty amount of product compared to a lot of moisturizers and creams which are only 50ml, and considering the price this is great for it's value.
I believe all of the Etude House AC line contains alcohol, I have only tried their pink powder spot, the trial size of their pink powder water and their red spot balm, but I would think that their toner and other products may have it as well, anyhow, I would suggest checking your current cleanser, toner, serum/essence and other products you use if they contain alcohol in them already because too much would dry out your skin too much and be too harsh.
I tried using this with my Dior Capture Totale One Essential Skin Boosting Super Serum and it was way too harsh that I ended up getting 3 new spots on my face T__T ~
Before application of lotion ~
Poured out the gel on my hand, I had to wipe off some excess because I had poured out too much
Spreading the lotion around the surface of my hand ~ the lotion seems very thick when you pour it out but once you started spreading it apart it turns very watery and lightweight ~
After the lotion has fully absorbed into the skin, it will feel softer and smoother but not significantly glowy that being said the finish isn't matte either and will NOT keep your skin looking matte throughout the day >__<
The texture is of a gel type, but it is surprisingly quite hydrating, if you have normal skin or dry skin this may work well for you as well.
A lot of lotions/moisturizers I have tried previously that are marketed towards those who have acne usually have a matte finish rather than a glowy finish and don't really hydrate your skin at all.
Consistency test on the gel ~

GOOD:
- Lightweight and non greasy feeling
- Hydrates acne/oily with the right amount of moisture
- Smells fresh
- Haven't broken out whilst using it yet
- Good value for the price you pay for
- Dries out the spot quicker making it heal faster
CONS:
- No pump on the packaging means you would need to pour it out yourself & may pour out too much product
- Glass packaging means you can't travel around with it conveniently
- Takes a while to absorb into your skin
- Would be too harsh if used everyday because of the alcohol and salicylic acid used
OVERALL:
Fragrance: 3.5/5 (it's definitely fragranced, it smells quite herbal with a hint of sweet and floral in it as well... I'm quite bad at describing scents but all in all this doesn't smell bad like some acne lines I have tried, it doesn't smell of tea tree or too overly herbal or medical but it smells fresh in a way)
Texture: 3/5
Hydration: 3/5
Acne Control: 3.5/5
Duration of use: 1 month 2 weeks
Application: 3.5/5
Packaging: 3/5
Overall: 3/5
Other Comments:
Though the gel texture makes it lightweight on the skin I did find this to be hydrating enough which actually can be a good and a bad thing, good because it won't dry out your skin which could cause further problems to arise on your skin and bad because during the summer time my skin will get quite oily when using this.
Furthermore, the packaging of the product really doesn't help at all since it's hard to control the amount of product.
WHO WOULD I RECOMMEND TO?____________________________________________
To those of you who have combination leaning more towards normal/dry skin that has problems with acne/blemishes.
Would I Repurchase: No
Have a nice day ~ ♥
