REVIEW: The Face Shop Whitening Mist Sun SPF 40/PA+++ ~
Since summer is here now and the sun is always out which means we all have to protect our skin from the harsh UV rays so we don't damage our skin ~ did you know the sun is very damaging to not only our skin but our bodies as well?

I have very sensitive skin on my face compared to my body, though my body burns as well then eventually that burn turns into a tan but the burn is just too much to handle... my face is even worse due to my acne medications I take and apply on my skin :(

I bought this because it's in a mist form for uses when I am outside and wearing make-up on that day, because we all know it's pretty much impossible to reapply sunscreen when we are wearing make-up unless we remove all of it... but who would do that O___O" 




The packaging is like of any regular face mist, it comes with 200ml of product
YOU HAVE TO SHAKE THIS PRODUCT or the mist won't come out as a fine spray and will smear your make-up (trust me I learned it the hard way *sighs)
... it had a lid btw but I lost it yesterday >___<" ~


The packaging is all in Korean, so I have no idea what it really says nor the ingredients used as well ~ 




The mist is very fine and the design of the top makes the spray spread out so it covers the entire face rather than just squirting at one particular place ~



 
Before application of anything ~


If you don't shake the bottle, the sunscreen becomes blotchy and a thick white droplets of the mist collects on the skin, if you apply the mist over makeup & you don't shake it well it would smear your makeup

 
 This is if you shake the bottle and spray the mist ~ see the difference? you can hardly see any of the mist droplets because it's that fine of a mist, remember to spray 20 cm away from the face though ~ ^^

GOOD:
- Feels lightweight on your face
- Handy for touch ups when you need to reapply throughout the day when you are outside
- Ideal for those who wear makeup without having to reapply a pact/powder/foundation or remove make-up and redo base makeup
- The spray nozzle sprays a fine even mist over your entire face
- Protects my skin from the strong UV rays even on really sunny days my skin doesn't turn red

BAD:
- Has a strong 'sunscreen' scent
- Can feel oily and sticky after a few hours of application

Other Comments:
This is my first time trying a mist type sunscreen although it would make more sense because you are meant to reapply sunscreen every 3 hours or so and when I have make-up on a mist would be the most suitable thing, I like the spray nozzle part of the packaging however I'm not a huge fan of the design (though some may disagree with me), the texture is lightweight when you first apply it but your face can get oily quite quickly within a few hours especially now since the weather is hot and humid and it also has a strong sunscreen scent even though it's less slightly bang in your face and more perfumed and sweet you can still definitely smell the sunscreen scent there


WHO WOULD I RECOMMEND TO? ____________________________________________
Those who have dry skin and/or don't live in a humid weather where you will be sweating a lot


Would I repurchase: No I will look for other mist types of sunscreen, but it would be a fairly nice sunscreen to use during winter

Yet another haul...
First of all, I want to apologize it has taken me so long to write up a blog post but I have been extremely busy with all my coursework and projects in which the deadline is coming closer and closer and I am stressing out because I haven't done a lot of work yet so I will probably not update as much and take a few weeks break for the mean time
and also when I have gotten all ready to do a blog post, blogger wasn't working for me and I couldn't manage to upload any images so I couldn't make this post public yet >.<


But recently I have made another purchase of some beauty products and I thought I would share with you what I got ~

I do apologize if some of the stuff are quite dirty but this is a collective haul over the past month or so and of course I have used a few of the products a few times ~


Firstly, I placed an order on TheFaceShop's white secret body set (body wash and lotion). I'm not the palest person on earth, actually I would consider myself being quite 'tanned' which I don't really like... don't get me wrong, I have nothing against tanned or darker skinned people but I just want to be more pale because well I guess it may be a cultural thing? So I heard good things about this line so I am putting it to the test, I will probably review this after 6 months of use as I want to give it a good try before reviewing it and seeing if the results show through.

I'm not sure if you have all heard of this online shop 'IBuyBeauti' but I heard them through YouTube where they sub some Korean Beauty Shows in English which mainly consists of Get It Beauty and Son Dam Bi's Beautiful Day's Beauty Class. Anyways, I saw a video of a Get It Beauty make-up tutorial of them using the Espoir Nude Slip Cushion Foundation and I immediately wanted to try this out. I have already seen this episode on TV but I always found it hard to find places that stocked Espoir cosmetics apart from Gmarket of course but I didn't want to pay for EMS shipping, so I went ahead and bought it on Ibuybeauti, I've only used it twice so far so I can't really give a full review but so far I am liking it ~

Now I recently heard about a product called Hiruscar, I'm not entirely sure what country it comes from but I think it's made in Thailand? correct me if I'm wrong, but I heard many reviews raving about this and seeing some of the images at how impressive it looked, I searched it up on ebay and purchased it through alphabeautyuk alongside a green tea facial soap from cow soap because I wanted to try a green tea facial cleanser that didn't include many ingredients in the product, but obviously I can't read exactly if this is pure green tea or if it's mixed in with other stuff because it's all in Japanese >.< ~ but basically I was going to wait until in the summer to buy the hiruscar but I thought why not just try it out now and if I like it I will stock up on this when I go to Hong Kong.

The last place I ordered from was off a Korean Online Shopping Mall called 'Stylenanda'. I have to say that I haven't come across to many Korean Online Shopping Malls that ship internationally so when I saw that this shipped worldwide I squealed! I came across this website because of one of the models there, Park Sora and if you don't know who she is I recommend you to google her up and many many images of her will come up. She is a Korean model/ulzzang and is fairly popular in South Korea because of her pretty and unique looks. She is GORGEOUS! which made me want all the make-up from the brand 3CE and all the clothes. I did make quite a big purchase so it is no surprise that I had to pay custom fees, and that is actually one thing to bear in mind, when we are importing from another country we do usually have to pay for custom fees depending on your countries law, for England anything over £36 we will have to pay import VAT, but because parcelforce are horrible and like to charge you extra they have a clearance fee for you to pay as well.
But anyways onto the things I got:

Review: TheFaceShop Face It Oil Cut Pore Balm ~
As I previous stated in my last post I will be doing a review on The Face Shop Face It Oil Cut Pore Balm and this review sort of links with my previous one on 'The Face Shop Face It Velvet Primer' so if you haven't seen my review for that, then you can always check it out but for those of you who have no interest in that what-so-ever then I guess I will just give you a brief explanation as to why these two are linked together ~

In my other review I had stated that that primer didn't really do anything for my pores, I have quite large pores which are more visible in person than on camera and somehow whenever I apply on make-up my pores seems to seem more noticeable than without any make-up on. Well, you know no body really likes having big pores so I wanted another product to help fill them in before my foundation.

Honestly speaking, when I first bought this I didn't think it was going to work and the idea of putting this waxy balm wasn't exactly a pleasant as well since my initial thought was; Waxy-textured-balm-applied-on-face = oily and greasy looking skin.
However, one day I just decided to try it out and I have to say I fell in love with it! Not only did it not make my skin oily, it didn't feel heavy on the skin at all and in fact I think it kind of helps with sebum/oil control as well ^^



 
The information of this product is in both Hangul and English ^^ ~ 


"This magic balm prevents sheen caused by excessive sebum and keeps the skin soft all day long. It improves adherence to the skin of products used in subsequent stages for a velvet-like smooth finish.
*Oil-Cut Complex: A patented phyto-complex containing mung bean extract, birch extract and curly dock extract to prevent skin problems by controlling sebum production [Patient No. 10-071438]"

DIRECTIONS: After completing skin care and before beginning make-up, use a puff included in the package to apply lightly to areas that have troubled pores or appear excessively shiny. 

CAUTION: For external use only. Keep out of reach of children. Discontinue use if signs of irritation or rash appear. Do not use on broken or abraded skin.

The wax in the product is actually a lighter shade than this but the camera isn't doing it justice >.< ~
It's more of a pale creamy yellow shade 


 Hmm.. I have a feeling this is actually a dupe on the Benefit Dr. Feelgood primer/balm but I am not 100% sure on that as I have never tried that product before, but judging from the packaging and the product it does look very similar ~ maybe one day when I try that I will do a comparison review ~




The packaging (both box and actual product packaging) leaves finger print marks on it easily >.<" ~

The colour of the packaging is super pretty, it's a metallic blue colour! ~ but the actual packaging of the product feels very cheap and very... what's the word to describe it... unsturdy? basically it feels like it could break if you bend it too much. But then again we are paying ￦8,800 for this product so we can't expect some luxurious packaging but I do think it could have been made slightly better ~





The product also comes with a sponge applicator (I apologize mine is quite dirty) and they basically suggest you use this sponge applicator to apply on this product. I do admit using the sponge does make life a lot easy as with a brush you might not get the best results and it would be quite hard to get the product out with your hands, though I have never tried so feel free too if you wish ~
However, as you can all probably guess putting a sponge in the product back and forth will contaminate it and spread bacteria which means you are putting bacteria onto your face and can cause acne, which I am sure nobody wants so you will have to make sure to clean that sponge thoroughly and regularly to prevent bacteria and dirt from building up in that sponge.

The smell is also one of the main factors of this product ~ it has an awfully strong herbal scent to it. It kind of reminds me of oriental chinese herbal medicine type of scent. And because the scent is quite overpowering it might put you off from using the product, but if you can overcome that scent I would highly recommend anyone to try this product out, apart from those with dry skin, this product may accentuate those dry areas, but The Face Shop has a product which is exactly like this but is made for dry skin called 'The Face Shop Face it Moisture Pore Balm' with the pink packaging instead of the blue.



 
Because of the metallic box, the writing on it can be quite hard to read and especially hard to take a image >.< ~

Overall:
Now this is where the actual link between the two primers come in. Although this product has an amazing texture and covers up pores really well as well as controlling the amount of sebum/oil from producing on my T-Zone area and chin. The only con to this is that I don't find my make-up lasts any longer with this on than without it.
However, technically I wouldn't classify this as a primer but it does function as a base or more so a pore covering base. Therefore, in order to get the best of both worlds, I would combine this with the other face shop primer, so I could still extend my make-up's lasting power whilst have something to deal with my pores.
Some of you may think that this may be too much product, too time consuming to do and too expensive since you will have to purchase two different products to use. But both products combined together are still fairly cheap and is no where the price of some higher end products I have seen in the market. Obviously this also depends on where you live and where you buy it from as well. For those of you with large pores and/or oily skin you may think it will be worth it just like I do.
For reference I would apply this after The Face Shop Face it Velvet Skin Primer on the areas where I have the largest pores and also on areas where I tend to get oily the most which are on the T-zone and chin.
Another thing to note is the packaging, I honestly really don't like the packaging at all and would probably give this a 1.5 at max. But it's the product that counts really.


Would I Repurchase: Definitely, I think this will be my HG pore filler until I find something better ~

Review: The Face Shop Face It Velvet Primer ~
In my last haul I have talked briefly about this product and why I was eager to try this out. I was using the Makeup Forever HD primer in green before this for almost a year now, and wanted to try something different but didn't know what one to choose since there seems to be so many different primers out in the market these days, therefore, I just went with the one that Get It Beauty recommended on their show ~

I haven't tried a lot of velvet/satin finish primers before, pretty much all my previous ones have either colour correcting (tinted) properties to them or they are more of a cream type of primer, but I wanted to see how this performed and whether it actually made my skin feel smooth and soft like velvet ~


I love the box packaging so much ~

The Packaging reminds me of snow ^^ ~ so pretty ~ ~ 


There are 2 different types of formulations in the same line, one is the original one which is the one I have and the other is called 'Face it Moisture Fitting Primer' which as the name suggests is for dry skin people or those who want a dewy/moisture look to their skin.

 For the price we are paying for this, I would have to say it leaves a really smooth finish on the skin. Your skin literally feels like silk after you apply this which makes make-up apply easier ~
However, I can't tell you whether or not that this primer will help you to smooth out and cover fine lines as I don't have any wrinkles on my skin yet, but I haven't noticed a huge difference to the size of my pores when using this ~




 
The product pumps out as a creamy-white-almost-translucent gel like consistency ~


 
But once you start patting it into the skin, the gel turns into almost a watery texture which makes it easier to absorb into the skin and makes the skin less greasy and heavy feeling ~

 
"Uneven skin surface is covered to enable the skin texture to appear smooth and clean, while sebum to prevent sheen and enables make-up to remain supple for an extended period. Non-sticky, oil-free formula makes each use velvety-light and refreshing.
*Excessive amount may make subsequent application of make-up clump. Dab lightly as if filling up pores or fine lines for greater effects"

I honestly have to say that the product does live up to some of the claims, such as the formula of this product isn't sticky at all, though I am not entirely sure whether I would recommend this to people who have really oily skin all over just because I find my T-zone and other places still shows up in around 5 hours after applying full make-up on. 

 
You can see and tell that my skin is relatively much smoother on the After side ~
That being said, I do find my make-up to last a little longer than without wearing any primer, usually my skin gets oily within 3 hours, 4 at maximum, so to have it last until 5 is an improvement and shows that this stuff really does help your make-up to last longer ~
DIRECTIONS:
Before make-up, dispense an adequate amount and apply evenly to the skin. Then, pat lightly with the palms for full absorption.

Overall:
The one thing that I love about this primer than the Etude House Baby Choux Base is that this one does not have any scent to it or even if there is it's very subtle and definitely not noticeable. I find that the Etude House one is too overpowering sometimes and can give me a headache if I use it everyday, but do bare in mind that I am quite sensitive to artificial smelling things whether it be skin care, make-up, hair care or body care stuff.
In general this primer does live up to the biggest claim which is to smooth out your skin texture and it does make your make-up last longer than usual, which is a must in a primer right? I mean that's why we use primers in the first place, but I'm not sure how well this primer would perform for oily skin and whether or not it would help their make-up last any longer ~ But since my skin does tend to get pretty oily during summer or whenever the whether gets hotter I will post an update on how I feel about this product, since currently I am leaning more towards the normal/combination skin type ~
If you suffer from large pores though, I suggest you go search for something else to use. I have pretty large pores myself and although it did cover a bit, it still isn't up to my satisfaction. However, I like to use this in conjunction with 'TheFaceShop Face It Cut Oil Pore Balm' which will be my next review ~
